The lush and verdant rainforest is a soothing and entirely natural symphony to fall asleep to.
In keeping with the Sanctuary low impact philosophy, buildings are designed and constructed to ensure that the vegetation and birdlife is disturbed as little as possible.
Sanctuary and the accommodation are set high on a ridge, amidst lush tropical Rainforest within the 50 acre Brookes Beach Nature Reserve. We are conscious of our impact on the planet and use the natural cooling effect of the rainforest incorporated into the architectural design, so that adequate cooling is produced from cross ventilation and ceiling fans.
At Sanctuary we have three unique styles of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Nestled within a luxurious natural environment we have three styles of accommodation provide contrasting experiences in the rainforest:

Rainforest Hut with Alfresco Ensuite
The Rainforest Huts feature a minimalist design that maximises the sights, sounds and smells of the rainforest.
Elegant and yet rustic at the same time. Accessed by a boardwalk to protect the forest floor, the rainforest huts are designed to be like a bubble in the rainforest. The walls can be opened on three sides by sliding timber and glass panels giving a beautiful close rainforest experience. A simple deck extends from the hut, while privacy is created by the natural foliage of the forest. Gravity fed with fresh, cold water collected onsite, the outside ensuites are appointed with a shower, toilet and hand wash basin so that you can shower in the forest, naturally.
Each hut has a small veranda, simple furnishings and sleeps two in either king or twin occupancy with alfresco-ensuite, looking out to the rainforest.

Deluxe Canopy Cabins with Ensuite
For those interested in more creature comforts, then the deluxe canopy cabins may be for you.
Of solid wooden construction, with ample, screened glass windows, the canopy cabins offer maximum protection from the elements, while still offering a close connection to the sights and sounds of the forest.
Larger than the rainforest huts, these cabins are stylishly appointed with polished wooden floors, handmade natural timber furniture and spectacular glass-walled bathrooms looking out high in the trees.
With a studio-style lounge and bedroom and a private, furnished verandah, the canopy cabins offer superior accommodation in an entirely natural environment.

Rainforest Villa
We have two beautifully appointed rainforest apartments at Sanctuary. These freshly renovated apartments have an open plan layout opening into the lush rainforest. These apartments are fitted with a kitchenette, with small energy efficient fridge, induction cooktop, and modern kitchen appliances.
As soon as you open the doors you are greeted by warm timber floors, beautiful furnishings inspired by nature and an expansive lounge area that looks out into the forest. The bathroom is situated on the large undercover wrap around verandah, featuring a beautiful atrium shower and contemporary fittings.
